The Ultimate version 6 guide/ King arms P90 gearbox review

Welcome to the Ultimate Version 6 Gearbox review by AirsoftFlow. You might notice I will be also reviewing this gearbox (From my King Arms P90).

To get to the gearbox on a P90 you will have to unscrew the plate in the stock of the gun. You can then simply pull out the gearbox. For more information, simply check out my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inKXNDSt95w
Once the gearbox is out you will have to remove 2 screws on the wire harness. The wire harness is made if a durable plastic, I would't see it braking on you if you take care of it. The only problem with it is that the contacts get damaged pretty soon from arching and need regular cleaning.

Once the two screws are off you can pull the wire harness off the gearbox. After that you can take the two conical screws off the motor cage and slip the motor and motor cage off. You might notice the screws only have threads on their extremity.

To open the motor cage, you have to pull the two sides in a way the the two notches come apart and the shell can separate in two (sorry I forgot to take a picture of this).  The motor is pretty strong and can easily pull a M120. The only thing about it I don't like is that it is too dull... maybe it's me being too difficult! It is a long type motor. The motor cage is made out a really tough metal, same as the gearbox shell. The motor height adjustment screw is really thick and big.
Now for inside the gearbox. To get inside the gearbox you need to remove the two hex gearbox screws and the long plate at the top of the gearbox. One of the screws has a sort of ring around it. To remove the plate you need to get a flathead screwdriver and push it backwards.
The air nozzle is not too special all though it does not have an o-ring, which kind of sucks. It easily comes of the tappet plate.

To remove the tappet plate, simply pull the cylinder assembly off and slip the tappet plate off. The air nozzle is attached to it.
The tappet plate is a little bit brittle, and is being pushed by an overly powerful spring... It easily fits into the gearbox.
To remove the cylinder head,  simply pull it off the cylinder.
The cylinder head is okay, it only has one o-ring and doesn't offer that mooch of a good air seal. I would recommend replacing it.

The cylinder is very standard, nothing much to say about it. It does have a small hole due to the short P90 barrel.

To remove the piston head, simply remove the screw inside holding it on the piston.
The piston head is pretty good, I think it is polycarbonate. The o-ring is pretty loose on it.

The piston is also probably polycarbonate, it has 1 metal tooth (the first one). It look pretty tough, won't break any time soon. The other teeth show no sign of wear after 1000+ shots.

The gears are probably one of the strong points of the gearbox. They seem very tough and I don't see myself buying new ones any time soon. I suggest strongly cleaning and removing all the cheap chines grease all over the gearbox. Re-shimming is also suggested.
The anti reversal latch is just standard; nothing too special. I still have to get used to the weird angle the spring is at...(Im used to version 2 gearboxes).
A very nice thing i like about this gearbox is the ball bearings. Its a nice addition from King Arms.

These are the screws you have to go through to get to the gearbox (+Plate screws)
Overall this is quite a good gearbox, but good be a lot better with a few upgrades. You can check out my youtube channel for more!
